About The Room
My work explores memento mori and the cyclical nature of life and death, reflecting on the rites and rituals through which we acknowledge mortality. I draw on social and religious customs?births, weddings, funerals?and highlight how photography and family albums preserve memory and connection. Using autobiographical materials alongside paper, fabric, flowers, and thorns, I weave together history, memory, myth, and ritual. Through repetitive, meditative techniques like embroidery and sewing, my work embodies renewal, reflection, and the transience of life.
